Thomas King, Technician
Thomas is currently investigating the evolution of the condensin II complex across insect taxa, and the impact of losses of condensin II subunits on somatic chromosome pairing. With his research, he hopes to add to understanding of the mechanisms underlying interactions between interphase chromosomes, and expand knowledge of chromosome pairing phenomena beyond traditional model organisms. His specialties include DNA-FISH and squashing fire ants before they can bite him. Don't even ask what he likes to do in his spare time. He hopes his album cover will not impact your decision to admit him to grad school.
